The ten services, and how they combine into one technology plan.
Straight answers about working with Comingwave, quotes and ownership, security and support, our products and Comingwave Academy. If your question is not here, ask us.
Comingwave is an Australian technology company that provides technology and business solutions to small and medium enterprises in Australia and overseas. The work covers ten solutions, from custom software, websites and mobile apps to cloud, cyber security and managed IT support. Comingwave is also the parent company of Build AI CV, PractiseNow and Talent Tabloid.
Small and medium enterprises in professional services, retail and e-commerce, trades and construction, hospitality, education and training, logistics and transport, recruitment and migration, and import and export. That could be an accounting practice, a builder, a wholesaler or a cafe group. If your industry is not on the list, ask: the starting point is the problem, not the sector.
No. You need to know your business and the problem you want solved. Choices are explained in plain English and you are shown working screens at regular demos, so you can judge the work by using it.
Yes. Our head office is in Girraween, in Western Sydney, and we work with businesses across Australia and overseas by video call, shared screens and online demos. Our locations are listed on the About page.
In five steps: a discovery call, a written plan and quote, building and testing in stages with regular demos, a secure launch with data migration and training, then ongoing support. Nothing is built until the plan and quote are agreed. The steps are set out on the About page.
Job boards, a recruitment CRM, an online marketplace, hotel booking and guest CRM systems, a taxi booking and delivery platform, a point-of-sale and stock system, and a team task and sales pipeline manager. They are listed on the work page.
It depends on what the work has to do, so there is no honest single figure to publish. The main drivers are how many kinds of user and screens there are, what the system must connect to (payments, accounting or booking software), how much existing data has to be moved and how much support you want afterwards. After a free first consultation you receive a written quote for your project: start with the quote form.
A fixed quote sets one price for a scope that is already settled. A staged quote breaks a larger or less settled job into stages, each scoped and priced before it starts, so you decide how far to go. Either way the quote is written and agreed before work starts.
You describe what you have in mind, or the existing system you would like looked at. We ask questions and tell you plainly whether we can help, which solutions fit and what the next step would be. It costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.
You do. Clients own their code, data and documentation, and this is set out in writing before work starts. It means you can take the work to another provider or bring it in-house later without asking anyone's permission.
Security is part of the design, not an extra at the end. That means access control so people see only what their role needs, encryption to protect data, and backups. Where it suits, we add multi-factor authentication (a second proof of identity at sign-in) and single sign-on. There is more on the cyber security page.
Where a system is hosted is agreed in the plan before work starts. We work with Google Cloud, AWS and Azure, and the plan records which service holds your data and who has access to it. You keep ownership of the data wherever it is stored: see cloud migration and hosting.
Ongoing support covers monitoring, updates and help when something needs attention. It can follow a project or be a service on its own: see managed IT support. What is covered is written into your agreement, so you know what to expect.
Often, yes. We start by looking at what you have, how it is hosted and how well it is documented, then tell you plainly what we would keep, fix or replace. IT consulting is the usual starting point.
Comingwave is the parent company of Build AI CV, PractiseNow and Talent Tabloid, which are software products we build and run ourselves. Each has its own website, and the products page says what each one does. The same page lists two related businesses, Talynx and Truly Ceylon.
Comingwave Academy is planning AI coding classes for complete beginners, in three tracks: a first website, automating everyday business tasks, and building a small app. No coding background is needed. Details are on the Academy page.
Classes are not scheduled yet, and dates, format and pricing have not been announced. People on the waitlist hear first, and you can join it on the Academy page.
A class suits a simple project you want to learn from. Having it built makes more sense when the system handles customer data or payments, or when the business will depend on it every day. If you are unsure, send an enquiry and we will tell you which fits.
These pages go further than a short answer can.
